First day of school....

Today was the first day of school. Ther are only 179 left! It was a long day compelte with 25 new names to learn and I am sure I haven't gotten them yet. I was so distracted in my thoughts of Chris and missing my girls! I have a feeling that this will be a good school year I love the potential and excitement that new students provide.

Chris's Home!

Chris is finally home! He was diagnosed with a shaphylococci infection of the skin, on his ankle. He is so tired and I am so happy that he is sleeping next to me on the couch. I was very pleasantly surprised to get his voice mail to come and pick him up. he wanted to surprise the girls and pick them up from daycare and then we went out to dinner. Now, i remember why we don't eat out during the week. It completely fills our evening but we had to celebrate! His leg is wrapped and I have not yet seen his entire ankle although he assures me that it looks gross. He is having some swelling in his ankle and foot. This was expected as he has not been up or really waling around since Thursday. I am so thankful and happy to have him home! I love him so very much!
Andrea and Ahleah are also very excited to have their Daddy home and to get back onto the routines of our lives. They both missed him so much!

Chris...My Love.

Chris is still in the hospital. He was shivering and had a fever still for most of the day. The cellulitis on his leg seems to be getting worse and they did not give him any IV medicine at all during the day today. The nurse assured us that he would be getting a different medicine tonight that should help the infection that has gotten into his blood. His cultures have not shown any thing yet and the Dr. says that it will take up to 72 hours for any bacteria to appear. In the morning they are also supposed to cut into the cellulitis on his leg and see if they can get enough to run cultures on that.
I hope that they begin treating him with something that works I really want my husband, my love home with me and our girls. We miss him terribly.

I miss Chris!

Chris found a small round red spot on his ankle on Tuesday and on Wednesday it had grown and he went to the Dr. Today Thursday he was checked in to the hospital. He has some sort of skin infection that has spread and he has red lines streaking up his leg. He was admitted to the hospital to recieve IV fluids and medicine.
Andrea and Ahleah were a handful at the hospital. Andrea completely melted when we got home. She cryed and flailed for about a half an hour and would not tell me what was bothering her at bedtime! She finally said she missed her daddy and I told her she could sleep in his spot and she was out cold before I was done putting Ahleah to bed.
I hope and pray that Chris is doing well I miss him teribly. I wish that he recovers quickly.
